Our history

History and evolution

 

Originally, PCI-SCEMM (Process Conception Ingénierie / Société de Construction d’Équipements, Mécanisation et Machines) was a subsidiary of the PSA Group.

In 2015, the company became PCI MACHINING following its integration into TTGroup. This acquisition gave PCI greater international visibility and strengthened its innovation capabilities.

Products and services

 

Historically, PCI developed and integrated a wide range of industrial machining solutions, including:

  • Horizontal and vertical machining centers (METEOR series)
  • Honing machines
  • Transfer machines
  • Complete machining lines with automation, washing, drying, assembly, and dimensional control
  • Robotic cells

While this expertise remains part of our core know-how, PCI now focuses on integrating complete industrial solutions.
We rely on machines from TTGroup or trusted partners, while managing the full line design, automation, and associated services.

2025

  • PCI acquires Cerimatec, a company based in Louviers (near Rouen), specializing in the design, manufacturing, and integration of robotic and automated systems.

2023

  • Expansion of the METEOR range with the launch of METEOR 3000 single- and twin-spindle versions.

2020

  • Launch of METEOR 900 single- and twin-spindle models.
  • Renewal of ISO 9001:2015 certification.

2019

  • Creation of TTGroup France, the French subsidiary in charge of selling, installing, and maintaining the Taiwanese brands of the Tongtai group: APEC, Tongtai, and Honor Seiki.

 

2018

  • Design and launch of the new high-speed machining center range: METEOR 630, available in single- and twin-independent spindle versions.

2017

  • First honing integration on a machining center.
  • Achievement of ISO 9001:2015 certification.

2016

  • PCI joins the international TTGroup (machine tool manufacturer), which becomes the sole shareholder.

2015

  • First MQL applications and design of the METEOR ML twin-spindle center.

2007

  • Creation of APEC (Asia Pacific Elite Corp.), specialist in 5-axis and manufacturer of gantry machining centers.

2001

  • Launch of the METEOR 5/ML/GL high-speed machining center range.

1998/2003/2008

  • PCI becomes the designer and manufacturer of turnkey production lines for PSA (Peugeot-Citroën).

1998

  • Creation of HONOR SEIKI, manufacturer of vertical lathes with turret or tool changer.

 

1987

  • SCEMM becomes the Société de Construction d’Équipements, de Mécanisation et de Machines.

1979

  • Creation of Tongtai, machine tool manufacturer.

1969

  • SCEMM becomes a subsidiary of Automobiles Citroën.
